Is ArmorBee really free?
Yes — completely. ArmorBee will always be free for parents. We are funded through grants and partnerships with child welfare organisations. We will never charge for access to safety information or put critical content behind a paywall.
How does ArmorBee know where I am?
Your browser detects your approximate location using GPS or network signals, and we use it only to filter which issues are shown to you first. Your location is processed entirely in your browser — it is never sent to, stored on, or processed by our servers. If you deny location access, ArmorBee still works and shows all global issues.
How up to date is the information?
Issue pages are reviewed and updated every 24–48 hours. Active alerts are updated as new information becomes available — sometimes within hours of an incident being reported. Each page shows a "last updated" timestamp so you always know how current it is.
Can I report a safety issue in my area?
Yes. If you become aware of a local safety issue that you think other parents should know about, you can submit it via our report form. Our team reviews every submission before it is published. We especially welcome reports from school communities, local parent groups, and educators.
Is ArmorBee a replacement for professional help?
No. ArmorBee provides information and guidance, but it is not a substitute for professional child protection services, mental health support, or law enforcement. If your child is in immediate danger, always contact your local emergency services first. Our resources section links to professional helplines for every country we cover.
How can schools or organisations partner with ArmorBee?
We actively work with schools, community organisations, and child welfare charities to share data, co-create resources, and reach more parents. If you represent an organisation and would like to discuss a partnership, please use the contact form below or email us directly at partnerships@armorbee.org.
