Our mission

Every parent deserves to know
what threatens their child — right now

ArmorBee was built because child safety information is scattered, jargon-heavy, and always one step behind. We bring it together in one place — local, clear, and actionable — so every parent can protect their family without needing to be an expert.

What is ArmorBee?

ArmorBee is a child safety intelligence platform built specifically for parents. We monitor safety and security threats affecting children and teenagers — both online and in the physical world — and surface the ones that matter to you based on where you live.

Unlike news articles that report incidents after the fact, ArmorBee focuses on active, ongoing risks with practical guidance parents can act on today. Each issue is explained clearly, rated by severity, and matched with age-appropriate advice.

We cover everything from online grooming and cyberbullying to school safety, viral challenges, mental health trends, and international alerts — all in one place, updated continuously.

How ArmorBee works
1
We monitor trusted sources continuously
ArmorBee aggregates data from government child protection agencies, law enforcement reports, academic research, school networks, and verified media — across 40+ countries, 24 hours a day.
2
Issues are verified and severity-rated
Every issue is reviewed before publication. Our editorial team assigns a severity score (1–10) based on prevalence, age of children at risk, and speed of spread — so you always know how urgent something is.
3
Content is filtered to your location
Using your detected location (never stored), ArmorBee surfaces the issues most relevant to your country and region first — while still showing international threats that may reach your area.
4
Practical advice is written for parents, not experts
Every issue page includes warning signs, step-by-step action guides, and conversation starters — written in plain language, tested with real parents. No jargon, no fear-mongering.
5
You ask, ArmorBee answers
Our AI advisor is powered by up-to-date knowledge about child safety. Ask it anything — about a specific platform, a behaviour your child is showing, or a news story you saw — and get a straight, personalised answer.

Frequently asked questions
Is ArmorBee really free?
Yes — completely. ArmorBee will always be free for parents. We are funded through grants and partnerships with child welfare organisations. We will never charge for access to safety information or put critical content behind a paywall.
How does ArmorBee know where I am?
Your browser detects your approximate location using GPS or network signals, and we use it only to filter which issues are shown to you first. Your location is processed entirely in your browser — it is never sent to, stored on, or processed by our servers. If you deny location access, ArmorBee still works and shows all global issues.
How up to date is the information?
Issue pages are reviewed and updated every 24–48 hours. Active alerts are updated as new information becomes available — sometimes within hours of an incident being reported. Each page shows a "last updated" timestamp so you always know how current it is.
Can I report a safety issue in my area?
Yes. If you become aware of a local safety issue that you think other parents should know about, you can submit it via our report form. Our team reviews every submission before it is published. We especially welcome reports from school communities, local parent groups, and educators.
Is ArmorBee a replacement for professional help?
No. ArmorBee provides information and guidance, but it is not a substitute for professional child protection services, mental health support, or law enforcement. If your child is in immediate danger, always contact your local emergency services first. Our resources section links to professional helplines for every country we cover.
How can schools or organisations partner with ArmorBee?
We actively work with schools, community organisations, and child welfare charities to share data, co-create resources, and reach more parents. If you represent an organisation and would like to discuss a partnership, please use the contact form below or email us directly at partnerships@armorbee.org.
